The Parrsboro and District Board of Trade includes businesses, organizations and individual members who are dedicated to the goal of economic opportunity and prosperity for our area.
The purpose of the Parrsboro and District Board of Trade is to promote trade and commerce and to further the civil, social and business interests of the communities in our area. The district includes the area west to and including Apple River, north to and including Southampton, east to and including Bass River and south to the Minas Basin.
The Board of Trade is a non-profit organization of volunteers run by a Council of Directors chosen from the membership. Regular business meetings are generally held at 7:00 PM on the second Wednesday of the month. All members are welcome to attend. Our monthly luncheons provide occasions for our members and guests to meet and exchange ideas, as well as to learn about regional issues of concern from our guest speakers. All are welcome to attend, but reservations must be made by noon of the preceding Friday. The current price is $7.00 and reservations can be made by calling Karen Dickinson at (902) 546-2342 or writing to: dickinson@xplornet.com.
